2018 is Off and Running for Steel Justice MC®

A quick look at our Events page and you'll see that Steel Justice is already off and running in 2018! Even before our first run of the year happens on April 28th, we will have three other major events that we hope you will join us for. First off, on February 4th, we have decided against our regular football party and instead are having a Stand Up For Veterans Party, with the proceeds benefeting local homeless Veterans. February 10th brings the return of our Relay for Life Trivia Night to the clubhouse, which has been a big hit in previous years. Finally on March 3rd at Boondocks, we are having our Ziplock Benefit, with all of the proceeds going to fullfill Ziplock's known wishes. There will be music, live and ticket auctions, raffles, food and much moore! Donations for the benefit can be made to any Steel Justice® club member and as always, we thank you for your support and look forward to riding with you in 2018!

RIP Brother Ziplock

The entire Steel Justice® family is in mourning over the loss of our Brother Craig "Ziplock" Jones. May our brother ride in peace for eternity and may God grant his loved ones the strength to endure this loss. IAMBK

2nd Annual Johnny Utah Memorial Run

Thank you to everyone that came out for our 2nd annual Johnny Utah Memorial Run! Great weather, beautiful roads
and good friends made this another wonderful ride! As is tradition, we ended the run at The Curve Inn, where the
crew took great care of us, as usual. Keeping with the generosity theme of the Johnny Utah Benefits of years past, all
winners of this years run and the 50/50 raffle, donated their prize money to the Nicole Bottrell Benefit Fund! Nicole is
the sister of Clean, a member of Steel Justice®, who is battling Stage 4 brain and spinal cancer. A benefit is currently scheduled for Nicole on July 29th, in Lincoln. Thank you to Chucky, Ziplock, Kathryn and Stevil for their generous
donations and don't forget to mark your calendar for October 7th and the Steel Justice MC® Fall Run!

Relay For Life Trivia Night

Thanks to everyone that came out and supported the Steel Jusice® Relay for Life® Trivia Night. We had several teams
that joined in the fun and loaded up their tables with food and snacks. All of our winners donated their prize money
back to the Relay for Life® and thanks to their donations and everyone in attendance, we raised over $1300 for the American Cancer Society®! Thank you again to all of our teams and keep an eye on our Events page for additional
Relay for Life® events, leading up to the actual Relay in June.

The Nasty Nine

2017 may be just starting out, but that didn't stop us from adding a couple more to the Steel Justice® 20 Year Member roster. With all the new clubs popping up, we take great pride in the fact that we now have nine members that have
been with Steel Justice MC® for more than 20 years! This achievement was awarded to our brothers Deacon and JD this past weekend. Currently, only seven other members share this accomplishment and the coveted 20 year patch, our
founder Griff and long time members Phoenix, JR, Chucky, Chico, Bo and Herc. Congratulations to Deacon and JD and thanks to all of our 20 year members, we look forward to your next 20 years with Steel Justice MC®! SJFFSJ

2016 Halloween Party

With all the great costumes and amazing friends and family that showed up, not to mention more food than we knew
what to do with, this years Halloween Party and Chili Cook-Off was a hit! Congratulations to all of our Cook-Off and
costume winners and a big thank you to everyone that came out! Another big congrats goes out to the winner of the Harley-Davidson cleaning kit and Visa gift card! If you didn't have a great time and go home with your belly full, you probably weren't at our party. Check out some of the pictures in our Photos section and don't miss out on the craziness
next year, as its sure to be just as much fun!

Back to the Wood Inn

Every August Steel Justice® makes a pilgrimage to Carthage, Illinois, to visit the gravesite of our fallen brother, Johnny Utah. As usual, The Wood Inn made us feel welcome and filled up our bellies! If you're looking for a nice ride and a great meal, check out The Wood Inn in Carthage, Illinois and tell them Steel Justice® sent you!

First Annual Johnny Utah Memorial Run

Gorgeous weather and about 200 of our friends, helped make for an amazing first annual Johnny Utah Memorial Run.
The Road Captains took us on a great ride and there were plenty of people on hand to enjoy it! Most of the Steel
Justice® family was able to kick back and enjoy this years run, unlike previous years where the auction kept us all
hopping. Thanks to everyone that came out and rode with us and a big thank you to everyone who continues to support
our Johnny Utah runs. Check out our Photos section for pictures of this years run and mark your calendar for October
1st, so you don't miss our Fall Run, later this season!

2016 Spring Run

It was wet, windy, dark and cold and the Road Captains made the decision to take the Poker Run indoors! It was
something different for Steel Justice®, but by all accounts, it was pretty damn good for a crappy day. We fired up the
grill and kept everyone fed and even broke in the new shuffleboard table with our first tournament. Several area clubs
came and hung out with us, including The Outlaws MC, Black Pistons MC, Chrome Mafia MC, Flatlander's MC, Iron Sleds
MC, Condemned Brotherhood MC, Leathernecks MC and BACA. Hopefully we didn't leave anybody out, but thanks to everyone that came and partied with us. A big thanks to the Chrome Mafia MC, who's members won the Poker Run,
the Shuffle Board Tournament AND the 50/50 drawing and donated it all right back! Mark your calendars for July 16th
and don't miss the first annual Johnny Utah Memorial Run…we've put in an order for better weather.

St. Patrick's Day Parade 2016

Threats of bad weather didn't keep the celebration at bay for this years St. Patrick's Day Parade in downtown Springfield. The adult beverages were flowing and a good time was had by all. Check out some of the craziness in our Photos section and don't miss the party next year!

The Magnificent Seven

2016 ushered in what we in Steel Justice MC® like to call, "The Year of the Motorcycle." Its somehow fitting then, that we also welcome our newest 20 Year Member in 2016, Hercules. This achievement, which has only been earned by a select few SJMC members, was awarded to our brother Herc this past weekend. Currently, only six other members share this accomplishment, our founder Griff and long time members Phoenix, JR, Chucky, Chico and Bo. Congratulations to Hercules and thank you to all of our 20 year members, we look forward to your next 20 years with Steel Justice MC®!

Welcome to 2016

Happy New Year from the Steel Justice® family! We had a great 2015, but we expect the coming year to be even better. This year will bring our first annual Johnny Utah Memorial Run, which replaces the Johnny Utah Benefit that so many of you have supported over the years. Beyond that, our goal for 2016 is riding, riding and more riding! So keep an eye on our Events page and come and hang out with Steel Justice® in 2016, we'll see you on the road!

Fall in Springpatch

Another Steel Justice® Fall Run is in the books and we would like to thank everyone that came out and braved the cooler temperatures to ride with us. A big thanks goes out to all the bars that hosted us and especially to Boondocks, who had some great food and fantastic entertainment that kept us rocking into night. Also thanks to Rory Kelly and his band for extending their tour and tearing it up with us in Springfield! Keep an eye on our Events section for info. on our 2016 runs and don't miss the crazziest Halloween Party in town, on October 31st, at the Steel Justice® compound!

Back to The Wood Inn

Every Summer Steel Justice® makes a pilgrimage to Carthage, Illinois, to visit the gravesite of our fallen brother, Johnny Utah. Since this was the last year for our Johnny Utah Benefit, this years trip seemed a little more special than usual. We were even surpised with a visit from several members of the Harrison family, while in Carthage. A big thanks goes out to The Wood Inn for always making us feel welcome and for filling our bellies! If you're looking for a nice ride and a great meal, check out The Wood Inn in Carthage, Illinois and tell them Steel Justice® sent you!

The Last Ride - 2015 Johnny Utah Benefit

After 15 years, the Johnny Utah Benefit came to a close this year, with bikes lined up as far as the eye could see. Once again the generosity of the Springfield area motorcycle community shined upon us, as more than 350 people attended the Last Ride and packed the benefit at The Curve Inn. Thank you to everyone that came out and supported this wonderful cause. Special thanks to The Curve Inn, our favorite Auctioneer Ron Williams, Hard Livin band and the entire Steel Justice family for everything you've done over the years! Keep an eye on our Events section for future Rides and Events and check out pictures from this years event in our Photos section. Thank you Central Illinois for helping us, to help out Madison!

Spring Run Kicks Off Another Great Season

After another long winter, the Steel Justice® family and almost 200 of our friends kicked off another great riding season with our 2015 Spring Run. Sunny skies, great people and great bars, we couldn't have asked for a better day! Thanks to everyone that came out and rode with us and a big thanks to The Keg for the big shindig at our last stop, it was fantastic! Keep an eye on our Events section for upcoming Steel Justice events and runs and other area activities. Thanks again and we'll look forward to seeing you at our final Johnny Utah Benefit and Run on July 18th!

St. Patrick's Day Parade 2015

Beautiful weather, great people and plenty of adult beverages made for another amazing St. Patrick's Day Parade in downtown Springfield! Brother Goat served as our drinking team captain this year and he made sure the Jameson and Irish Car Bombs were flowing (Maybe a little too much). Brother D-Day gave us all hat envy, except for the prospects who had been dressed to the hilt earlier in the day and were looking as sharp as ever. Even brother Cooky joined us, trying to get a coveted spot in next years club calendar I hear. Thanks to all who came out and helped us celebrate...and now we have less than a year to go until next years parade! We'll see you there!!

Super Bowl Party

Despite Mother Nature's shitty mood this past weekend, the 2015 Super Bowl Party was a blast. While attendance was down slightly from years past, the game kept everyones attention and all the delicious food kept thier bellies full. Congratulation to all of our door prize winners and thanks to everyone that came out and kicked back with the Steel Justice® family. Don't forget to check us out for Super Bowl 2016 and everything in between!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

From all of us in the Steel Justice MC® family, we would like to thank everyone who rode with us, laughed with us, partied with us and even put up with us, for an amazing 2014! As we wrap up our 25th year, we would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a kick-ass 2015!!

And Then There Were Six

2014 not only ushered in the 25th Anniversary of Steel Justice MC®, but it also gave us a couple more 20 Year Members to celebrate. This achievement, which has only been earned by a select few SJMC members, was awarded to our brother Bo this past weekend! Currently, only five other members share this accomplishment, our founder Griff and long time members Phoenix, JR, Chucky and Chico. Congratulations to Bo and thank you to all of our 20 year members, we look forward to your next 20 years with Steel Justice MC®!

2014 Halloween Party a Crazy Good Time

Between the great costumes, the crazy games and more food than we knew what to do with, this years Halloween Party and Chili Cook-Off, was off the hook! With help from all of our amazing guests, we were able to raise over $2500 for the SJMC Kids Christmas Party! Congratulations to all of our Cook-Off winners and a big thank you to everyone who pulled out all of the stops and loaded up the Steel Justice® kitchen with more treats than we knew what to do with. Another big congrats goes out to the winner of the custom Steel Justice® Les Paul guitar! If you didn't have a great time and go home with your belly full, you probably weren't at our party. Don't miss out on the craziness next year, as its sure to be even bigger and better than ever!

Another Milestone

Once again Steel Justice MC® had the opportunity to celebrate a rare milestone with one of our long time members. This achievement, which has only been earned by a select few SJMC members, is the coveted 20 Year Member patch, which was awarded to our brother Chico this past weekend! Currently, only four other members share this accomplishment, our founder brother Griff and long time members brother Phoenix, brother JR and brother Chucky. Congratulations to Chico and thank you to all of our 20 year members, we look forward to your next 20 years with Steel Justice MC®!

Back to the Wood Inn

Every August Steel Justice® makes a pilgrimage to Carthage, Illinois, to visit the gravesite of our fallen brother, Johnny Utah. Unfortunately, the weather didn't want to cooperate this year and we were forced to do it on four wheels. Of course a little rain has never kept us from having a good time (Right Griff?) and this trip was no exception. A big thanks goes out to The Wood Inn for always making us feel so welcome and for filling our bellies! If you're looking for a nice ride and a great meal, check out The Wood Inn in Carthage, Illinois and tell them Steel Justice® sent you!

Over the Little River and into Savanna

Savanna, Illinois was once again the destination for this years Steel Justice MC® club trip. Despite threats of rain, we managed to have an amazing time and toured some amzing roads. Our friends over at the L & M were kind enough to put up with us...I mean put us up for the weekend and in return, we kept them entertained for a few evenings around the fire.

If you want to do some great riding and in an area that is extremely biker friendly, check out Savanna and don't be afraid to just take off and get lost...yep, we did that too. Just not on purpose. Check out some of the craziness in our Photos section.

14th Annual Johnny Utah Benefit

Beautiful weather and bikes lined up as far as the eye could see! Once again the generosity of the Springfield area motorcycle community shined through, as over 225 bikes and more than 350 people attended the 14th annual Johnny Utah Benefit and Run. Thank you to everyone that came out and supported this wonderful cause. Special thanks to The Curve Inn, for helping us put on this shindig and to Hard Livin for keeping the stage rocking into the night. Don't forget to keep an eye out for details on the 2015 Johnny Utah Benefit and check out photos from this years event in our Photos section.

2014 Sangamon County Relay For Life®

Despite the weather, the 2014 Sangamon County Relay For Life® was a huge success. Once all of the totals were in, we helped raise over $131,000 to aid the American Cancer Society® in its search for a cure! We appreciate everyones contributions and assistance for this years event, as we couldn't have done it without you. If you missed this years event, make sure to keep an eye out here for details on the 2015 Relay For Life® and if you haven't already, its not too late to make a donation for 2014. Click on this link Steel Justice® Relay For Life® Team to make a donation and help find a cure!

Spring Run a Great Time with Great Weather

After a long miserable winter, mother nature smiled down upon us and our guests, with a great ride this past weekend for our annual Spring Run. With right around 200 people in attendance, sunny skies and great bars, we couldn't have asked for a better day! All of our raffle winners generously donated back a portion of their winnings, which will be going to The Relay For Life. We can't thank our winners and all of our guests enough for their continued support. Please keep an eye on our Events section for upcoming Steel Justice events and runs and other area activities. Thanks again and we'll see you at our Johnny Utah Benefit and Run in July!

Lu Anne Stone Benefit

This past Saturday over 100 bikes braved the 40 degree weather to come out and show their support for our sister Lu Anne and brother Stoney. The number of people that came out that day was amazing and we can't thank everyone enough. Special thanks to the Legion Riders for doing all of the heavy lifting and putting this great event together. We would also like to thank ABATE, The Iron Sleds, Leather Necks, Highway Riders, Border Riders of Wisconsin, United Riders, Roughnecks and the Illuminati for coming out and showing their support. Thank you to Hard Livin for playing some great live music, the fantastic bars that rolled out the red carpet for us and everyone else that made this event one to remember!

Rare Milestone

This past weekend Steel Justice MC® had the opportunity to celebrate a rare and wonderful milestone with one of our most dedicated and influential brothers. This achievement, which has only been earned by a select few SJMC members, is the coveted 20 Year Member patch, which was awarded to our brother Chucky! Currently, only three other members share this accomplishment, our founder brother Griff and long time members brother Phoenix and brother JR. As a club, we our honored to share a patch with these fine men and we all owe each one of them a great deal of gratitude and respect. So as we enter the 25th year of Steel Justice MC®, we would like to say a big thank you and congratulations to our 20 year members Chucky, Griff, JR and Phoenix! Thank you brothers and we look forward to your next 20 years with Steel Justice!

2014 and 25 Years of Steel Justice MC®

2013 was full of ups and downs for SJMC, but as we look ahead to 2014 and the 25th Anniversary of Steel Justice Motorcycle Club®, we're all ready for our best year ever! While we begin planning all of our yearly events for the upcoming year, we hope you'll keep your eyes on our website and begin marking your calendar, as dates are announced. As usual, our Events section will continue to have a complete list of runs and parties, as flyers become available. So join us in welcoming 2014 and help us celebrate 25 years of my favorite motorcycle club, Steel Justice®!!

2013 Halloween Party Is Our Best Yet

If you missed this years Steel Justice® Halloween Party and Chili Cook-Off, you might as well start kicking yourself in the ass now, cause it was definitely the place to be! We had visits from Progressive's Flo, Eddie Munster, The Dude, Cousin Eddie and even more crazy characters then you'll normally see at 14th and Carpenter. Joanie took home the prize for best female costume as the lovely Flo, of Progressive fame. Eddie Munster, as portrayed by our own Chucky, once again proved that you have to wreak havoc on your own hair to bring home a first in the male category. One more reason your favorite Webmaster won't be taking home that award anytime soon.

The Chili and Soup Cook-Off kept everyones belly full and allowed the drinks to keep flowing into the night. This year, brother Speedo got back the title of Best Chili, so we'll never hear the end of that, while Chucky came in a close second. Best Soup for 2013 was by Miss Kim, with Phoenix grabbing runner up. Kim also managed to take home Best of Show at this years event. Thank you to all of our participants and to everyone that brought in desserts and side dishes to share, it was quite the spread.

The real star of the show again this year, was the games. And despite the crowds disappointment that bobbing for liquor and sex toys had been pulled from the lineup, the balloon dart toss kept the prizes flowing and allowed a few of us to start our Christmas shopping (I hope everybody likes Mardi Gras beads in their stockings). The furniture dolly races were a ball and Biker and Lori took home the title of King and Queen of the parking lot, with a crushing victory in this years race. Though anyone wearing a blindfold was really a winner, with Cousin Eddie constantly bending over with his "Shitter's full" hose shoved up his, uh...robe. The Grab Bag was also a big hit again this year, giving people the opportunity to pay money to try nasty crap. There were some good prizes too, but I think they are kind of like those giant stuffed animals at the fair, because I only saw one person walking around with one.

When the dust and clown makeup had cleared, we raised over $1800 for the Steel Justice® Kids Christmas Party, which is what the evening was all about. Congratulations to Rodney for winning the iPad raffle and to all of our other winners and participants throughout the night. Thanks go out to the Kids Christmas Committee for putting on another kick ass shindig and to all of our members and their families who help make this the best Halloween Party in town! Don't forget to check out our Photo page, to see a few shots of the evenings festivities.

Here There Be Dragons - Maggie Valley 2013

SJMC ventured out once again to terrorize, I mean visit, our neighboring states and travelled to one of our favorite destinations, Maggie Valley NC. The trip looked dismal as we all showed up to travel in our rain gear but the clouds soon parted at the sight of us and we had nothing but sunshine the rest of our trip after the first 60 miles. While it could have been a little warmer it was still warm enough for a de-pantsing the first night in town and, well, ass seemed to be the theme for the entire trip. We enjoyed some fantastic roads and we all conquered The Tail of the Dragon not once but twice. We kicked its ass in true SJMC fashion and only scraped a few floor boards and exhaust pipes. We enjoyed some killer BBQ at Butts on the Creek after taking a little cruise through Smokey Mountain National Park and conversing with the locals at a lovely little inn in Cosby, Tennessee where the jeans are hot and Smirnoff Ass is served ahhce cold. The folks at Jonathan Creek Inn even recalled a few of us from years past and made amends for leaving D Day homeless one night by giving him a killer rate the rest of the weekend.

Deals Gap 2013

We all spent a fortune at the Smokey Mountain Knife Works in Knoxville and surprisingly we still have all our digits. The Thunder in the Valley Rally was going on but we never actually made it there opting instead for the thunder of JW’s belly rumbling after engulfing a hunk o cake as big as a baby seal and the thunder of Chucky’s exhaust echoing through the valley. Damn, why doesn’t he get baffles? Dale at the Wheels through Time Museum made us all feel at home and introduced us to Tater’s twin brother after Original Tater let him take his new scoot for a putt. Hell, we even spent a week in Gatlinburg one hour to buy a tee shirt. I must say the best part of the trip was just hanging by the creek in the evening with the Brothers and family and the amazing roads they have to ride in that part of the country. One word of warning if you depart Maggie Valley at zero dark thirty be prepared for a little fog and if you are in room 112 at the Jonathan Creek Inn…..oil the damned door hinges.

13th Annual Johnny Utah Benefit and Run

Great weather, a beautiful ride, wonderful music and fantastic people made this years Johnny Utah Benefit a huge success! We couldn't have done it without everyones help, including that of our generous donors, the great people that attended the days festivities and the entire Steel Justice® family.

Special thanks go out to Bird and Jody for all of their hard work on setting up the auction items and making sure the evening went off without a hitch. Thanks to Stoney and Hard Livin for putting on another great show for everyone. Last but not least, thanks to the Johnny Utah committee members for all of their additional help and to all of the members and their spouses who helped make this years benefit such a success. If you missed this years event, make sure you put it on your to do list for 2014, because it just keeps getting better! Check out the Photos page to see some of this years highlights.

2013 Sangamon County Relay For Life®

The 2013 Sangamon County Relay For Life® was once again a great success. With everyones help, the Steel Justice® Team was able to raise over $9000 to aid the American Cancer Society® in its search for a cure for this horrible disease! We appreciate everyones contributions and assistance for this years event, as we couldn't have done it without you.

Cancer touches nearly everyones lives and Steel Justice MC® is no exception. Watching the Steel Justice® family members participate in the survivor and caregiver walks, made all of our efforts worthwhile. If you missed this years event, make sure to keep an eye out here for details on the 2014 Relay For Life® and if you haven't already, its not too late to make a donation for 2013. Tired of the Damn Rain

The 2013 riding season is here, but it hasn't been what we'd call ideal. We had our Spring Run at the end of April and it rained. Early May brought the ABATE Awareness Rally and a ride to the capital building and it rained. Memorial Day weekend kicked off with our annual Gone But Not Forgotten Run, followed by the famous Springfield Mile and it rained. Are you starting to see a pattern here? I'm sure we're not the only ones the rain has pissed off, but don't think it kept us from riding and having a great, though soggy, time. A special thanks goes out to all those hearty souls that joined us for our annual Spring Run and then stuck it out till the end!

That being said, June is upon us and Summer is in full swing. So shine up that ride and lets hope for warm sunny skies and long winding roads. Steel Justice MC® will be out and about all season long, supporting local motorcycle events and chasing the wind, so come on out and join us. As the saying goes, Screw It Lets Ride!

Steel Justice MC® Mourns

The entire Steel Justice® family is in mourning over the loss of one of our own. May the beloved wife, mother, friend and sister Debra Patterson rest in eternal peace. May God grant our brother Speedo the strength to endure this loss. IAMBK

Steel Justice MC® and the Relay For Life®

Once again this year, Steel Justice MC® will be participating in the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life®. The devastation of this horrible disease has continued to hit close to home for us and just like you would expect, we're not gonna take it lying down. This years Relay For Life of Sangamon County will take place on Saturday, June 22nd, at Lincoln Land Community College. And mark your calendar to join the Steel Justice® Relay For Life® Team before our Spring Run on April 27th, at the Veteran's Parkway Applebee's® for a great pancake breakfast. Tickets are only $5 each and all proceeds benefit the Relay For Life®. Please consider clicking the link below and making a donation, we can't fight this disease alone.
